About the Chef
Dzintra is Executive Chef and Owner of Plate by Dzintra. A first-generation Latvian American she learned to cook at a very early age. Before moving to Paris in her early twenties, she had already begun her catering service to high-end restaurants and clients in Manhattan and New Jersey.
While living in Paris, she attended the Cordon Bleu and graduated at the top of her class in both cuisine and pastry. She also worked at the world-renowned Ritz Escoffier School of Cuisine and catered many events for various people and organizations. Since 2008, she has established a Supper Club, Catering Business and Exclusive Cooking Classes in Austin, Texas.
