Dzintra is one of a kind! Her imagination and creativity in the kitchen exceeds any 5 star restaurant we’ve ever frequented. Every taste bud you have will be working overtime when you dine with Dzintra! Plus, you will have fun doing it! It was truly one of the best meals we have ever had and we enjoyed meeting new “foodies”! She really is a star!!

“I attended my first, and hopefully not my last, supper club with Chef Dzintra. The Visit to Souteast Asia via Austin, TX has whetted my appetite. The taste and presentation couldn’t have been better. Thanks so much for giving me a delicious experience. I hope to visit you again.”
Jan Stern, Wilmington, Delaware
“Dzintra is an artist who transforms simple ingredients into a work of art. She has a great talent to make her food unforgetable (I start to salivate every time I think of the salmon she prepared once…) It’s easy to feel lucky when she’s around: her “joie de vivre” is contagious! Food is her passion, and all the smiling faces around the table are her prizes. Who can resist that?”

“Looking forward to it-as always. Not only is the food wonderful, you make the event fun and interesting.”

“You are something else! You have put amazing dining back into the always seemingly hurried functions of eating. Thank You! Very interesting company last night.”
Mary Evans, Guest Valentine’s Day Supper, Austin, TX
“Thank you for an enjoyable evening. I had attended a pre-launch supper club event. Fabulous food and the Chef Dzintra kept the courses varied and interesting with a combination of flavors that melt in the mouth to give the diner a spectrum of surprising textures and pleasing flavors. All this and the artful presentation was just a teasing prelude to the glorious taste. Please keep the dishes coming!”
“We have had the gastronomical pleasure of experiencing several of Dzintra’s scrumptious meals. Her food is uniquely prepared with detail in freshness and flavor all blending a delicious combination of interesting tastes and an element of surprise. The quality of Dzintra’s food rivals any top restaurant we have eaten at and certainly way above most here in Austin. She has a true culinary gift and passion for food that is worth sharing (not to mention she is BLAST!)”
“We scheduled a private cooking class in her home and all 11 of us were delighted with the lesson. Her direction and instructions were super simple to follow and she has a very entertaining and up-tempo delivery which kept the pace of the class interesting. As she demonstrated and cooked, useful cooking tips and methods and the story behind the ingredients and even the process were all incorporated into the all-too short afternoon. Before we even realized it, she had cooked up a batch of Autumn Pumpkin Bisque with homemade garlic croutons, and a tropical fruit cobbler chock full of mango, pineapple, and nectarines. She topped it off with freshly whipped cream. After the demonstration, we all sat and enjoyed her recipes at a beautifully prepared table. Terrific experience and well worth coming back for the different lessons.”
“ The food I sampled recently at “Plate by Dzintra” was worth the trip from San Francisco! It was one great culinary experience after another with an excellently balanced menu that left no room for boredom. Your combination of French/Asian influences, crisp Baltic plating and Texas confidence create a fresh, original fine dining salon experience. I will definitely come back again for more!
I was especially impressed that you create so many of your own, very original recipes that are novel, but seem just like old friendships renewed once you try them. At heart all fine food, like yours, is elegant because it is seemingly often so simple, but with just the right creative balance and experienced touches (probably from your Cordon Bleu training.) I look forward to there being a “Plate by Dzintra” cookbook one day!
My top three picks:
· Pumpkin Bisque with Crisped Garlic Croutons and Cilantro
· Pan Seared Texas Ribeye Slow Roasted with Garden Vegetables
· Apple Crumble with Lemon Curd and Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream
It was difficult to come up with just three because everything was so delicious, but these are the standouts! If there was number 4, I would mention the Persimmon Sorbet with Fresh Mint Leaves… and the Handmade Potstickers with Ancho Chile Sauce, (it’s hard to stop!), etc.etc.
Thank you for the excellent and one-of a-kind dining experience. I can’t wait to enjoy your creative cuisine and the fine company once again! “

“In my years I have eaten a great deal of the so called “soul food.” But, when I met Dzintra and enjoyed some of her foods, I came also to know food cooked with soul.
She delivers an amazing meal in a sensual, savvy and a very fun and informative way. She is a breath of fresh air in the kitchen and a wonderful hostess at a table.”
Mary Evans, Austin, TX
“Thank you…I was at Saturday’s Supper Club with Alex Newbury and the Groom’s….You, Dzintra and everyone else provided the most enjoyable dining experience I have ever had. Thank you!”
